The ideal location for your monthly mentoring meetings is the mentor’s home. Mentoring is about modeling “this way of life.”
Meeting in the mentor’s home gives mentees the chance to meet the mentor’s family, see how they interact with their spouse, observe the pictures on their walls, and see keepsakes they keep around, essentially they get an inside look at what is important to them.
Most mentees will also be more open to sharing and telling their story in the comfort of someone’s home as opposed to in a public coffeeshop or even in the church building.
