For each meeting, we provide a conversation guide and discussion points related to that month’s topic as part of each monthly Mentor Preparation document. These give you an outline and talking points for the whole three-hour meeting and are intended to give mentors a starting point so that they aren’t focused on administration and logistics, but instead on getting to know and loving their mentees.
Remember, as the mentor, your main job is to do three things: 1) share your life experience, 2) facilitate discussion, and 3) love your mentees. So follow the conversation guide to the letter if it’s helpful, or use it as a benchmark. Just make sure you hit all the points of interest and that you allow space for the Holy Spirit to move.
